Treating specific issues
Acupuncture is also very effective at managing specific issues such as chronic pain, mental health, digestive issues, lifestyle challenges such as poor sleep and tinnitus, and obstacles to fertility in both women and men.
I would be delighted to support you and treat your presenting symptoms, though I will always aim to find and treat the deeper root cause of the symptom too, following acupuncture’s holistic approach to wellness.
What is treatment like?
Our initial consultation will allow me to get to know you and your history, and we can begin to identify your unique underlying patterns of disharmony (we all have them!) and design a treatment plan for you.
Your treatments will include gently inserting fine needles to stimulate a combination of acupuncture points. Some needles are inserted only briefly, while at other times they may be left in for longer. I may use moxibustion, which is the safe burning of mugwort (a small, spongy herb) over your acupuncture points to enhance the effects of your treatment. Acupuncture points most commonly used are located on the forearms, lower legs, abdomen and back, so loose clothing is helpful.
As your treatments progress, we will regularly discuss your general state of health and wellbeing, fine-tune treatment as necessary, and continue to work together to maintain your mind, body and spirit balance.
